Warding Off Evil????

In the course of pulling off the rotted sun room the guys unearthed some really neat treasures that were up in the eves of the oldest part of the house (1775). They found a bottle of bluing. For those not familiar with bluing it is the predecessor of bleach- used to get whites brighter. There was a shard of crockery and also the sole to a shoe. Dave found this neat link that describes the practice of hiding old shoes in eves to ward away evil- seriously read the link it is fascinating!

I think that we need to place these items back in the eves where they were found ASAP!  I'm Greek and Greeks are known to be superstitious so.....
